850068664597 The Costa Ludus/Ranger Point Handguard Modular Rail System is designed to offer bolt action shooters exceptional flexibility in terms of setup and cost, while maintaining the ease of handling and accuracy we value in these fine firearms. To accomplish all of these goals, we divided the top Picatinny rail into three separate sections (a receiver rail and two Gator rails that attach to the top of the handguard). The handguard can be used with all three Picatinny top rails, one, none or any combination of two. It's worth noting that installing one or more Gator rails can make your Henry 45-70 M-LOK Handguard even more powerful. Watch this video to see all the different ways you can set it up. To accommodate a range of manufacturing tolerances in the gas rifles, we have equipped the entire handguard/M-LOK rail system with adjustable fits. We also deliberately avoided using a continuous top M-LOK rail to mitigate the effects of manufacturing tolerances on accuracy. Our experience as custom lever action rifle builders has taught us that accuracy generally decreases when you connect the receiver to the barrel with a continuous rail. For the same reason, we strongly advise against ‘bridging’ the receiver rail with a Gator rail with a single sight. The Costa/RPP Handguard + Rail system is adjustable in three ways: - Laterally on the receiver connection - via the angled set screws - Laterally on the mounting spigot - via the vertical adjustment screws and the spigot itself. - Vertically on each leg of the ‘Gator rails’. M-LOK Rail System Features: Extremely robust for tough applications. Installed system can support over one hundred pounds and withstand the weight of a full grown man. Modular flexibility allows mounting of any style of optic or combination of aiming options. 3 rails can be used in series or as a combination or individually. Handguard ‘Gator Rails’ can be rotated 180 degrees to achieve the perfect eye relief with red dot or LER scopes. Unused rails can be removed to reduce weight or achieve lower mounting heights.
