850068664801 This 6 inch long Henry rail assembly works with the Costa Henry M-LOK handguard + modular rail system. Why a three rail arrangement? The Costa Ludus / Ranger Point handguard and rail system was designed to provide bolt action rifle shooters with exceptional flexibility in setup and cost while maintaining the handling and accuracy characteristics we love about these fine firearms. To accomplish all of these goals, we have divided the top Picatinny rail into 3 separate sections. The handguard can be used with all 3 Picatinny top rails, none, or any combination of two. It is worth noting that installing one or more Gator rails makes the handguard even more stable. To allow for a range of manufacturing tolerances in the rifles, we have fitted the entire handguard/rail system with adjustable fixings. It is important to understand that when we talk about manufacturing tolerances, we are talking about a universal phenomenon. As an example, there is actually no such thing as an absolutely straight run. Each manufacturer has to decide for themselves how much curvature is acceptable, and it's pretty clear that a significantly curved barrel can still shoot well. Our job in the aftermarket is to work with or around this range of tolerances and still achieve the desired result. In the case of barrel spring rifles that have handguards attached to the barrel, this can be a challenge because we want everything to be aligned with the receiver, but the barrel is not accurate. We made a conscious decision not to use a continuous top to reduce the impact of manufacturing tolerances on accuracy. Our previous experience as custom bolt action rifle makers has taught us that accuracy generally decreases when you connect the mount to the barrel with a continuous rail. For the same reason, we strongly discourage bridging the mount rails to a Gator rail with a single optic.

Adjustable Fixings for Tolerance Variability

It's essential to understand that manufacturing tolerances are a universal phenomenon. For example, there is no such thing as an absolutely straight run; each manufacturer determines the acceptable curvature, and a significantly curved barrel can still perform well.
Aftermarket Solutions
Our goal in the aftermarket is to work with or around these tolerances while achieving the desired result. In the case of barrel spring rifles with handguards attached to the barrel, alignment with the receiver can be challenging due to barrel inaccuracies.
