The handguard can be had in 9.25-, 10.5-, 12.625-, 14-, and 15-inch lengths that correspond with many of today's popular barrel lengths for AR-style rifles and pistols. Each handguard is attached to the upper receiver through the company's 4140 heat-treated barrel nut. Combined with these handguards is the Midwest Industries AR-15 Flip-Up Combat Sights. These sights can be had in either 1.5-MOA or 2-MOA adjustments at the front post, while the rear aperture offers 0.5-MOA adjustments. When not in use, the sights fold flat on the rail and when up, they provide shooters with a common, recognizable and easily used A2-style sight picture.
