Building a Savage rifle? Avoid the scratches and dings that result from not using proper tools and get an M-Machine Savage Barrel Nut Wrench. This specially designed tool will ensure that users have their barrel nut torqued correctly into place and will avoid the scratches and other unsightly side effects from using improper tools. Each M-Machine Savage Barrel Nut Wrench is machined from 6061 aluminum and measures 3/8-inch thick, which helps to spread out the load along the wrench itself. This reduces the amount of stress on any one point in the barrel nut, and the all-aluminum construction is softer than any Savage barrel or barrel nut and will not scratch or mar. Each M-Machine Savage Barrel Nut Wrench has been factory-tested up to 80 foot-pounds of energy, but the company recommends only using 30-40 foot-pounds for installing a barrel nut. M-Machine also recommends avoiding the use of this wrench for removing a factory-installed Savage barrel nut.
