Great upgrade for a Mauser 11.8.2013
Shroud was polished and ready to blue. Take your time read the instructions completely then read Episode 4 - An end to the windshield wiper safety from the Brownells web bench series. Installation was a breeze. It is a great upgrade for a custom Mauser project.

I bought this not ever installing one these before, but always liking the swing safety. I read the instructions several time so not to miss anything, also looking on other forums to see if there was problems installing this. I found nothing. I preped my bolt by removing the bluing that was there and painting the back with Dyekem blue for marking. I measured several times so not get get the spot to mill wrong, so marking the mill spot with the dremel and chucked up the bolt for milling the .125 cut. In less than a minute I was finished and ready to assemble... several times for the final fit. It works great, easier to install than you think, but do the prep work and take your time. This is not a 5 minute job, but the payoff is in the details.

follow the instructions and all will be well, i made a cut on both sides of the firing pin so i dont have to worry about having the right end towards the saftey, you most likely will have to trim down your firing pin sear. otherwise top shelf as usual from dakota
