Challis hex drive bushings are a breakthrough design, perfect for a custom build, replacing damaged bushings or changing between standard and slim grips. Uses a 7/32” nut driver which allows you to feel thread engagement and avoid damaging cross threading, and the robust hex head will handle the torque needed for proper seating, without concern for distorting the bushing or slipping and scratching your gun. Using the same driver, they are easily removed with no risk to frame or bushing. Unlike the old style, Challis bushings can be reused multiple times. Hex drive bushings can be fit with an optional O-ring which keeps grips snugly in place and minimizes shock to the grips and bushings during discharge. Use of O-rings will reduce scuffing of the frame by G10 and other abrasive grips, protect fragile and expensive grips such as ivory and mammoth tooth, and minimize loosening of bushings caused by heavy grip materials such as G10, carbon fiber and aluminum. Using Challis grip screw O-rings with hex head bushings will provide additional shock absorbing protection for gun, grips and bushings.

Hex drive bushings mohou být vybaveny volitelným O-kroužkem, který udržuje úchyty pevně na místě a minimalizuje nárazy na úchyty a bushings během výstřelu. Použití O-kroužků sníží poškrábání rámu způsobené G10 a jinými abrazivními úchyty, ochrání křehké a drahé úchyty, jako je slonovina a mamutí zub, a minimalizuje uvolňování bushings způsobené těžkými úchyty, jako je G10, uhlíková vlákna a hliník. Použití O-kroužků s hex head bushings od Challis poskytne dodatečnou ochranu proti nárazům pro zbraň, úchyty a bushings.
