“Clubfoot”-style adjustable stock with modular storage options gives the tactical shooter exceptional versatility and weapon control. The EMOD is 1½ " longer than the original Modstock to ensure a solid, comfortable cheekweld even on rifles with long eye relief scopes. Two, detachable, full-length storage compartments provide additional cheek support for more comfort and stability. Each waterproof compartment holds up to 3 AA or 4 CR123 batteries, and a permanent flip-open compartment on the left side of the stock holds two more AA batteries or other small items. Extra-length buttplate with removable rubber pad angles forward from heel to toe for a better hold in the “ready” position and when the weapon is held above the shoulder pocket in the heads-up position. Two, molded-in sling loops accept military-style, nylon web slings; molded-in sling socket accepts a quick-detach, push-button swivel for ambidextrous single-point sling attachment. Basic EMOD includes buttstock and detachable storage compartments only, available for Mil-Spec buffer tubes.

SPECS: Molded polymer, black or flat dark earth. 7¾” (19.7cm) long. Basic EMOD Kit includes buttstock and two (2) detachable storage compartments. Mil-Spec fits 1.14” O.D. carbine buffer tubes only. Commercial fits larger, 1.17” O.D. commercial buffer tubes.

My Favorite Stock (16.1.2010)

This is my second Vltor Stock. I found this stock to be extremely well built and designed. The fixed rubber buttstock plate is much nicer than the First Generation add on.

Comfortable LOP and cheek weld, lightweight, and bulletproof...I don't think there is anything else I need to look for in a stock. Add to that the ample storage room in there and the aesthetics, and in my humble opinion, you have a perfect package.

Instant perfect cheekweld (5.11.2010)

Initially when all of these aftermarket stocks came out I thought they were stupid and couldnt do anything the standard m4 can. I had the opportunity to try a vltor stock in iraq and after one presentation i was sold. This stock forces your face into the perfect cheekweld every time you present your rifle. No other stock I have used stood out in any special respect.

BALANCE (5.9.2009)

I have this installed on my Colt LE6940. It adds balance to the rifle due to it's heavier build over standard collapsible stocks. I also like the fact that there are several areas to store batteries. Fit is great as well.

Almost there... (25.11.2009)

I have one of these on a Saiga 12 Gauge and an AK74. Both use the VLTOR AK adapter tube.

The 12 Gauge Rattled the bolts loose in about 50 rounds, so I loctited them in place.

I like that the compartments remove, there is storage, and the rubber butt pad. Also, there are many sling options.

Slides good and locks up medium tight, not as good as a CTR (mine both have some play when locked up).

The lever to release the stock locking pin and to adjust length of pull does not work very well, and feels flimsy. It is also smaller than other brands, due to being split half way down the middle. it's just not very solid feeling or easy to grasp. this is my one major complaint.

Otherwise, the stocks are great and I have no intention of getting rid of them. They are heavier than a CTR or basic M4 stock.

The sling hole just under the cheek weld area near the back is not large enough to get an AK sling through (due to the AK sling's metal), so I had to do a little dremelling to enlarge the hole. It worked very nicely after that (and the material was easy to work with).

One thing that is really nice is the lack of a raised ledge up at the front of the stock. Much more comfy.

The disclaimers on the packaging are cheesy. But my kids loved the huge VLTOR sticker that came with it. So a point there.

Qulaity is above average; again, seems a little less quality than a Magpul product.

i like the cheekweld and waterproof storage compartments on this stock, mounted on a vltor 5 position buffer tube. quality and fit are top notch.

Better than Magpul (25.6.2013)

I have two of these on two of my own rifles. I also, recommend them to my customers. My other rifles have Magpuls stocks, but I have to say that the EMOD tops the Magpul stocks. People will say different, but hey! The group I shoot with, their are more VLTOR stocks than MAGPULS! If the customer does not have a preference for a stock, the VLTOR stocks are the ones I recommend! Good cheek weld, solid feel, very solid lock up! The EMOD, you have plenty of storage space which is a plus!
